Deanne Primozic Kasim

Deanne is the co-founder and senior partner, and manages a wide variety of projects for many types of organizations, including: health IT vendors, health insurance organizations, non-profit entities, government agencies, and other consulting organizations.
Ms. Kasim has 26 years of career-related experience in the healthcare and health IT fields, and held a variety of positions in program/project management, strategic analysis, product management, and marketing communications.
Prior to founding the company Ms. Kasim held positions with the Academy for Healthcare Management (AHM), America’s Health Insurance Plans (formerly AAHP), EDS’ State Healthcare division, AMISYS/Synertech (now part of DST Healthcare), and IBM’s Federal Sector Marketing division.
Ms. Kasim is a current leader of the Patient-Centric Payor Roundtable, affiliated with the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and a past board member of the National Capital Area chapter. Ms. Kasim is currently an active member of the following organizations: HIMSS (national and two local chapters), AMIA (the professional home for biomedical and health informatics), Women in Technology (the leading association for women executives working in the field of information technology), University of Maryland Alumni Association, UMUC Alumni Association, The Terrapin Club.
Education: B.S. in Marketing with a minor in Pre-Medicine; M.S. in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland. She has completed the FastTrac™ entrepreneurship program from the Kauffman Foundation. She also holds a Professional, Academy for Healthcare Management (PAHM) designation.
Arshad Kasim
Arshad Kasim has eighteen years of experience with marketing, sales, and business channel development of health IT products and services. He has proven skills in strategic business planning, new product and service introductions, account and sales management. His particular area of focus is the payer industry segment, which includes all types of health insurance and benefit administration organizations.
Highlights of Mr. Kasim’s accomplishments include:
- Selling payer organization core administration products and services, including care management and Web-based solutions
- Development of competitive information reports examining market trends, competing products, and companies
- Sales support team management and training
- Attainment of revenue and profit/loss goals for multi-state sales territories
Mr. Kasim has held account executive positions with TriZetto, McKesson/HBOC, HealthAxis, and First Health.
Mr. Kasim holds a B.S. in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Bombay, India. He has completed extensive coursework in the Master’s of Business Administration program at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
